When living in the 21st century, you are guaranteed to see posts on how technology can help students and apps that are best for student's academics. Well, here is another one. Helpful apps that each student should have on their phone. I have used every one of these apps and found it beneficial for my academics. Keep reading so you can learn the benefits of each app before you download them.

Learning Platform Apps
Youtube
YouTube is a widely known app for researching different video tutorials of subject concepts. It has a variety of videos about one topic, which gives students great exposure to solving questions and problems in a way that they understand.
Quizlet
Quizlet is great for memory recognition to help prepare for upcoming quizzes and tests. Quizlet uses different ways to help with memory-like with flashcards, matching, and practice tests.
Khan Academy
Khan Academy is another tutorial app that is great for students to look up any topic related to school Math, English, History, and so much more. When students don't quite understand, Khan Academy provides helpful videos and practice questions at the end of each unit.
Screen Restriction App
Forest
Forest helps students focus on their studies by building a virtual forest. Students can set how long they would like to work. For students to stay focused, they cannot leave the forest app. If they do, the tree they are growing will die. This limits distractions from social media, text, and more.
Organization App
Notion
Notion is a good software for organizing school years. There are many templates and tutorials on the internet to help students organize their workspace. Notion has many different features, including a calendar with all the assignments throughout the year. As well as writing detail-oriented notes for each class and uploading course syllabi to easily access teacher's information.
Scanner App
Genius Scan
Genius Scan is an app that allows people to scan physical documents. Many teachers have posted assignments that require uploading on the school platform (Canva, Blackboard, etc.). Using Genius Scan is an efficient tool for submitting these types of assignments.
Google Workspace Apps
Gmail, Google Docs, Slides, and Drive
All of these are great ways of accessing and organizing information pertaining to academics. Having Gmail is helpful because it gives students quick access to emailing school officials or teachers. Many schools use Google Docs and Slides; having these on your phone is great for easy edits. Or if a student needs to refer back to a specific presentation or document.
